Ballast Description
The PURE digital control dimming ballast sets a new standard for electronic fluorescent dimming. Combining digital control technology with true 100% – 1% continuous dimming, The PURE’s ballast provides a new level of system performance and flexibility that easily changes to meet present and future lighting needs. Designed with a ballast factor of 0.9, the PURE’s ballasts provide full rated lumen output to achieve maximum lamp performance and dimming range capabilities. Digital control enables true two-way ballast/control communication that is immune to noise and power disturbances. Control wiring is polarity free and can be run in the same conduits as the power wires.

Economy & Quality
With the PURE’s control systems, energy savings of up to 75 % can be realized. These savings are achieved as a result of both the increased operating efficiency of the lamp as well as the low power consumption of digital dimmable control devices. The addition of daylight control withpresence detectors is a key factor in achieving such high-energy savings. The modular system provides maximum reliability with a long service life through the use of high quality components.
Perfect Light Quality
We take in about 80 percent of all information with our eyes. Light enables us to see. The more effectively light is adapted to a situation, the more precisely information, feelings and emotions can be perceived. The PURE sensor provides digital and therefore precise dimming of the most varied of light sources. As a result, the ballast provides the optimum solution for light and lighting levels adjusted to suit individual needs. Digital ballasts in the PURE are supplied as standard with a logarithmic dimming curve, which has been specially developed to match the sensitivity of the human eye.
The human eye is extremely sensitive to changes in light between 0 % to 10 %. Irregular or sudden changes are a distraction and clearly visible to the human eye, which can be aggravated by linear dimming. This unique digital concept with its logarithmic dimming curve provides perfect light modulation from 1 % or 3 % to 100 %. In conjunction with digital control components, the fully electronic ballasts and transformers provide the technical basis for perfect light quality.
