Meet SENSO: Tyler Ruff-Hoerdt, Quotation Specialist
Born and raised in Calgary, Tyler can’t see himself living anywhere else. It might be the mountains—on winter weekends you may find Tyler snowboarding down the slopes.
With a business administration diploma, Tyler is coming up on his one-year anniversary with SENSO this August. As a quotation specialist, he helps customers with quote requests and project pricing, as well as handling returns and warranty information. Tyler supports customers and answer technical questions about products and installation, and also helps install fixtures around the showroom and office.
Tyler is also a huge sports fan. He’s played hockey all his life, until a knee injury prevented him from playing competitively. Tyler still hits the rink whenever he can, and in the meantime he roots for the Calgary Flames and the NFL’s New York Giants.
When Senso Lighting specialist Dylan Halliday isn’t providing top-quality lighting control services, you might find him on a football field, helping the Calgary Gators glide to victory as a defensive back. The team competes as part of the Alberta Football League, and is striving to secure their fourth league championship.
This year, Dylan approached Senso Lighting founder Rolf Hurbin for sponsorship. Without hesitation, Senso obliged. Covering costs such as bussing the team to Fort McMurray and back (a 20-hour round trip!), Senso is also sponsoring the team’s slick new helmets, valued at $2000.
Rolf and his wife, Senso account manager Francoise Hurbin, cheered on the Gators at their season opener in June. The Gators were off to a good start: they crushed the Airdrie Irish 37-12, and Dylan brought his A-game, getting two interceptions, leading to one touchdown.
To recognize Senso Lighting’s support, the Gators are giving Rolf a helmet of his own and an authentic #17 game jersey (representing the 2017 sponsorship). The Gators will also mark the year for Senso with an end-of-season team photo—hopefully as champions!
The playoffs are just around the corner, starting August 12, 2017. Go, Gators, go!
